Navjyoti Institute for Intellectual Disabilities (shortened to Navjyoti Institute) was founded in 1983 by AAROH, a registered charitable society.

We focus on children and young adults with mental retardation, autism or multiple disabilities.

About AAROH

AAROH (Association for Advancement & Rehabilitation of Handicapped) is a registered charitable society, founded in 1983 by a few committed citizens and affected parents of disabled children.

Governing Body

AAROH's Governing Body comprises of a group of eminent personalities from different spheres of the society bringing with them years of experience and who form the guiding light for the organization.

Our Journey

1983 - AAROH founded by two affected parents, Late Air Vice Marshal S C Gupta and Mrs. Asha Gupta. Its first pilot project - Navjyoti School, was set up in the rear garden of the founder's house with just four students.
